Ashley has always been naturally curious, wanting to know the whys and hows of everything around her. As a writer, Ashley likes to explore anything, ranging from literature to education, from politics to food, from history to puppies.

Education and Professional Credits

Ashley is a 2009 graduate of Ashland University with a bachelor of arts degree in creative writing and journalism, with minors in political science and English literature. She also authored House with a Secret Knock: A Memoir as her undergraduate creative writing thesis, a 235-page creative nonfiction novel chronicling her experiences as a sorority woman and contextualizing the Greek community within the university environment.

In her spare time, Ashley also has started a blog project "The Years Spent PC," a blogging attempt to chronicle the first years following college graduation. Formatted similar to an ongoing feature article, "The Years Spent PC" promises nothing except a glimpse into the American life post college and the struggles and accomplishments of learning to start life on her own.
